Dr. Neda Moshasha
Optometrist
founded HMB Optometry Family Eye Care in 2013.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She continued her education and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2000. She also received her Glaucoma certification from Berkeley School of Optometry. She has been practicing full scope primary care care optometry for over 20 years.
Dr. Moshasha has an extensive experience in co-management of Refractive and Cataract Surgery. She can perform complete eye examinations, comfortably, in three languages of English, Farsi, and Spanish. She has taken trips to Panama and Mexico for Humanitarian missions, and performed free eye examinations for thousands of less fortunate people. She often volunteers at the Samaritan House clinic in San Mateo to perform free eye examination for lower income families. She also covers the eye clinic for the San Mateo county medical center Coastside branch.
Dr. Moshasha volunteers to give local community talks about eye health, and regularly offers webinars for the Stanford university staff. She lives in Half Moon Bay with her family and is proud to serve the San Mateo County Coastal Communities.
Dr. Christine Choi
Optometrist
Dr. Christine Choi received her bachelor of science degree in Psychology at the University of California, Davis. She went on to complete a doctorate degree in Optometry at the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Choi practices full scope optometry, but specializes in myopia management and specialty contact lens fittings. She is the former Chair of the Young OD Group of the Santa Clara Optometric Society, and is an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Santa Clara County Optometric Society, and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
As a former member of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity), Dr. Choi traveled internationally to Chang Mai, Thailand, and Santiago, Chile to help deliver thousands of eye exams and glasses. She has also worked with the MCT Vision Screening Program of the Santa Clara Optometric Society to deliver hundreds of vision screenings for school-aged children in the Bay Area.
During her spare time, Dr. Choi enjoys traveling with her husband and two young children.
Dr Choi is licensed by the California State Board of Optometry. She is certified for treatment and management of ocular disease including the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
