Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) / CRT

Orthokeratology, commonly called Ortho-K, is a non-surgical treatment designed to correct vision and slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia).

We use CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) lenses made by Paragon Vision Sciences. CRT and Ortho-K are terms often used interchangeably.

How It Works

CRT lenses are specially designed rigid gas-permeable contact lenses worn overnight while you sleep.

During sleep, the lenses gently and temporarily reshape the surface of the cornea. In the morning, the lenses are removed — allowing for clear vision throughout the day without glasses or daytime contact lenses.

Myopia Control Benefits

Clinical studies show that orthokeratology can slow the progression of myopia by approximately 43–50% in children. In clinical practice, it has proven to be one of the most effective non-surgical options for managing nearsightedness.

Safety

As with any contact lens wear, there is a small risk of infection. However, the risk is comparable to other types of overnight contact lens wear and can be significantly reduced with proper hygiene, lens care, and regular follow-up visits.
